Distance
Two immortal humans and their 8000 year journey.
2999. The world is over populated, dying and on the brink of war. Mankind’s focus is for a new home, a new planet. Whilst reaching out to colonise our solar system, mankind discovers that the further away from Earth a human is, the longer they live; ageing slows, cells heal and diseases are cured. An astrobiologist steals a supply space ship, and her and her cargo leave Earth’s atmosphere. Her cargo; her child, not 3 months old, born with a terminal disease, beyond medical help.
This is here to remind me/us that this project is heart-shaped to us, but it is unlikely to move until It’s Now Or Never is written.
We intend for this film to be around 10 minutes in length as a means to secure interest for a longer script. The main focus of the plot is how after the mother and child have lived for around 5000 years as ageless immortals, they begin to feel the effects of aging again. It coincides with them approaching an ominous wreckage that is clearly not of earthly origins, in the deepest space observed.
